Safety Admissions Policy

In the interests of safety to yourself and other pool users, the following restrictions are in place:
 

 All children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult at all times using the following ratios:
• Children aged 4 and under must be accompanied (one adult per one child).
• Children aged 5, 6 and 7 must be accompanied (one adult per 2 children).

Children aged 4 and under will be restricted to the following areas only:
• Toddler Pool
• Leisure Waters – shallow water only and spa pool
• River – with flotation device and parental assistance
• Outdoor Pool – with flotation device and parental assistance
• Competition Pool – shallow water only at 1.10m or less

Children aged 5, 6 and 7 who are weak or non-swimmers will be restricted to the following areas:
• Toddler Pool
• Leisure Waters – shallow waters only and spa pool
• River – with floatation device and parental assistance
• Outdoor Pool
• Flumes – accompanying parent should go down first (NB Height restrictions apply of 1.06m)
• Competition Pool – shallow water only (1.10m or less)

Children aged 5, 6 and 7 who are competent swimmers (ie. able to swim at least 25m on their front and tread water for a minute) will be restricted to the following areas:
• Toddler Pool
• Leisure Waters and spa pool
• River – with flotation device
• Outdoor Pool
• Flumes – accompanying adult should go down first (NB height restrictions apply of 1.06m)
• Competition Pool

Please note that on Saturday and Sunday (9.00am – 11.00am) the Splash Session is held where the following ratios are applied as there is additional staffing during this time.
• 1 adult to 2 children for children ages under 5
• 1 adult to 3 children for children ages 5, 6 or 7
