Activities…
Warm Up
This is a low impact aerobics class suitable for all levels of fitness. It is a class with an Instructor making up a routine to music to gradually increase the heart rate.
Badminton
This is a racket sport played by either two opposing players (singles) or two opposing pairs (doubles) who take positions on opposite halves of a rectangular court that is divided by a net. Players score points by striking a shuttlecock with their racket so that it passes over the next & lands in their opponent’s half of the court.
Short Tennis
This is a variation of lawn tennis. It is played on a smaller court, is quite similar to badminton played with a racket and ball. It is a full body workout improving endurance, speed, agility & hand/eye co-ordination.
Bums & Tums
This class is designed to tone & maintain the shape of your body. It is a range of different exercises using your body weight & will also improve your muscular endurance & strength.
Table Tennis
Also known as ping pong this involves 2 – 4 players hitting a ball back & forth to each other with a bat. It works the full body, is good for hand/eye co-ordination & stamina.
Cooldown
This is a variety of different stretch routines which change from week to week to help maintain & improve flexibility.
Bowls
A fun team game indoors involving a carpet for your bowls. The aim is to roll the bowl as close as you can to the small white ball than one’s opponent is able to do. It helps improve hand/eye co-ordination & uses lots of different muscles.
Easyline
This is a circuit based class using Hydraulic resistance machines used for beginners to aid fitness, help recovery of an injury, people that need assistance whilst exercising & GP referrals. All levels of fitness are welcome as stations can be adapted as necessary. This class will help improve muscular endurance, mobility and cardiovascular fitness.
